How to Contact an Inmate at Santa Rosa County Jail

Santa Rosa County Jail scans all incoming personal mail electronically (policy effective 4/12/2021). Your original letter gets destroyed, and the inmate receives a scanned copy on the in-dorm GTL tablets. Electronic delivery happens Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. So if you send something near a weekend or holiday, expect a delay.

Address mail using the inmate’s full name. Use this format: Santa Rosa County Jail C/O *INMATE FULL NAME*, 5755 E. Milton Road, Milton, FL 32583.

Keep letters to standard paper size only (8.5" x 11"). Do not mail cash or personal checks. Money in any form is considered contraband and will not be delivered to the inmate.

GTL handles phone-related billing and customer service at 1-877-650-4249. To add money for phone service, call the DSI/GTL Advance Pay automated line at 800-483-8314, or use the OffenderConnect website. For commissary and phone account deposits, the facility uses TouchPay. You can deposit at a TouchPay kiosk or online. You'll need the facility locator number 232501. Visa, MasterCard, and debit cards are accepted (fees apply).

How to Contact an Inmate at Santa Rosa County Jail

Steps to Follow

  • Address the envelope with the inmate’s full name and use: Santa Rosa County Jail C/O *INMATE FULL NAME*, 5755 E. Milton Road, Milton, FL 32583
  • Write on standard letter-size paper only (8.5" x 11")
  • Do not include cash or personal checks, money is contraband and will not be delivered
  • Expect your letter to be scanned electronically (the physical mail piece is destroyed)
  • Plan around delivery timing: scanned mail is delivered Monday through Friday, except holidays
  • For GTL customer service and billing questions, call 1-877-650-4249
  • To add funds through DSI/GTL Advance Pay, use the automated system at 800-483-8314 (there is also an online option through OffenderConnect)
  • To deposit money to commissary and/or phone accounts through TouchPay, use facility locator number 232501
  • Use an accepted payment method for TouchPay deposits (Visa, MasterCard, or debit), and expect transaction fees

The mail scanning policy has an effective date of 4/12/2021. Confirm it's still current before mailing anything, especially if timing matters. Check that electronic delivery still runs Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Before sending a first letter, double-check the addressing format (including the inmate’s full name), the letter size limit (8.5" x 11"), and the rule that money is contraband and will not be delivered through the mail.

Phone and deposit services change over time. Before sending money, verify the GTL customer service number and DSI/GTL Advance Pay line are still active. Confirm the TouchPay facility locator number (232501) is correct, and check whether deposits can be made at a kiosk, online, or both. Payment methods and fees may have changed too.
