For an on-site video visit, enter through the SCC Reception entrance. When you arrive, you will need to present a valid photo ID.

Arrive early. Sarpy County Jail expects on-site visitors to be ready to enter the visitation room up to 30 minutes before the scheduled start time. Registering in advance through Securus before you come to the SCC also helps, so try to get that done ahead of time if you can.

All visits (remote and on-site) are handled through video visitation. You need to create a Securus account at least 24 business hours before your first scheduled visit. That lead time matters, so don't wait until the last minute.

Part of setting up your Securus account is uploading a valid government-issued photo ID. Visitors are prescreened, and you'll get an approval or denial by email at the address on your Securus account. If nothing shows up, check your spam or junk folder before assuming it didn't go through.

Even if you've already uploaded your ID and received an email decision through Securus, bring your valid photo ID with you. Staff will ask to see it when you arrive.

Dress Code

  • See-through, sheer, or translucent clothing
  • Shorts, skirts, and dresses that are more than 3 inches above the knee
  • Revealing tops such as halter tops, tube tops, crop tops, backless tops, low-cut shirts, tank tops, sleeveless shirts, swimsuits, swim cover-ups, spaghetti-string tied tops, or similar clothing that shows bare shoulders or midriff
  • Hats, caps, or scarves (religious or medical exceptions may be considered)

Dress code decision is final: The receptionist decides whether your attire is appropriate. If it is deemed inappropriate, you will not be permitted to visit.

Medically authorized prosthetic appliances are allowed into visitation. That includes wheelchairs, crutches, canes, and artificial limbs.

If you have prescription medication you may need right away, you can bring it in, but it must be in its original container. Keep any supporting paperwork with you in case staff have questions.

Leave personal items behind. Sarpy County Jail does not allow visitors to bring anything into the visitation area. Secure your belongings in a locker or leave them in your vehicle.

Video visits can end instantly: Both you and the inmate must stay visible for facial recognition throughout the entire video visit. Too much movement can automatically terminate the session without warning, and once it ends, it cannot be restarted. If you've heard there are additional reasons a visit can be cut short, confirm the current rules with staff before your appointment.

  1. Keep minors on-site only - Visitors under 18 are allowed to visit on-site only.
  2. Bring the right adult - A minor must be accompanied by a biological parent or legal guardian.
  3. Bring original documents for the child - An original birth certificate with a raised seal is required for children under 18. If a legal guardian is bringing the child, the guardian’s name must appear on the birth certificate, or the guardian must provide current legal documentation showing guardianship.

Visitor numbers are limited. No more than two visitors can visit at one time (excluding accommodations for minors), and a maximum of five visitors are allowed per visiting period. The facility also caps visits at seven per hour on a first-come, first-served basis.
