Video Visits at SCI Cambridge Springs: How to Join via IVS, Email Link, or Zoom

SCI Cambridge Springs (along with other PA DOC facilities) uses Zoom for video visits. Your scheduled visit opens as a Zoom meeting regardless of how you get there: through your IVS account, an email link, or by entering the meeting details directly in the Zoom app.

1. Log in to your IVS account - open your scheduled visit and select the “Video Call URL.”
2. Launch the meeting - the Video Call URL will take you into Zoom so you can join the visit.

1. Open the visit email - find the message that contains your video visit connection details.
2. Click the URL in the email - that link should route you into Zoom so you can join at the scheduled time.

1. Open the Zoom app (desktop or mobile) - you can join without using the IVS website link.
2. Enter the meeting details from your email - type in the meeting ID and password included in the message.
3. Join the meeting - once connected, you will be in the video visit for your scheduled session.

Join no more than 3 to 5 minutes before your scheduled start time. When the visit ends, hang up right away. Other visits are scheduled back to back, and staying connected past your window can cause problems for the next visitor.

Up to six visitors can join a single video visit. If multiple people want to be there, sort out ahead of time who's joining from which device so you're not scrambling at the last minute.

Each inmate may receive up to six video visits per month, including one weekend visit. Limits can vary depending on custody status, so if you're having trouble finding open time slots, that could be why. Video visits are free. You should not be charged a fee just to connect to a scheduled visit.

Assume your visit is monitored and recorded. Keep the conversation focused on family updates and support. Avoid sharing sensitive personal details you wouldn't want saved as a recording.
