SCI Dallas offers both in-person and video visits. You'll schedule either type through the Pennsylvania Inmate Visitation System (IVS), which uses a Keystone login for identity verification and booking. Every visit must be set up in advance, no earlier than 60 days and no later than 3 days before the appointment. Group size depends on the visit type: in-person visits allow up to four authorized visitors, while video visits allow up to six. General population inmates have monthly limits (up to six video visits and four in-person visits per month), and these caps can shift based on facility operations. Before booking, you must already be on the inmate's authorized visitor list. Minors should be added under a parent or guardian's account, and any child visitor needs a completed DC-313 form present at the visit.

Video visits at SCI Dallas come with a few rules worth knowing. All non-attorney video visits are audio and video recorded and can be reviewed. Attorney video visits, however, are not recorded under facility policy. If you're joining from an Android tablet or phone, download the Zoom Cloud Meetings app from Google Play or the App Store before your scheduled visit so you can connect without issues. Remote visit services in Pennsylvania facilities typically run through an approved vendor. That means you'll need to create a visitor account, complete any identity verification steps, and submit your request through the vendor portal. The vendor forwards your request to facility staff, who control approvals and available time slots. Some services may also require prepayment or vendor credits.

SCI Dallas only accepts deposits through JPay. You can use the JPay website, the JPay phone line (800-574-5729), money orders mailed to JPay, or lobby kiosks at the prison. Don't send money through other individuals or unauthorized payment sites. If you're mailing a money order, send it directly to JPay (the institution itself does not accept money orders) and include a completed deposit slip, which you can pick up in the visiting room or find online. A few limits to keep in mind: credit card deposits are capped at $300 per card every 72 hours, and each money order is limited to $999.99. MoneyGram or cash walk-in transactions have a higher per-transaction cap. Funds posted through JPay generate receipts for the inmate, plus a monthly account statement listing all deposits and transactions.
