How to Contact an Inmate at Facility

DOC IVS video visits connect through Zoom. Click the Video Call URL from IVS (listed under your upcoming visits) or open the automated confirmation email and use the URL there. Either way, you'll be taken to Zoom to launch the meeting. The Zoom Meeting ID auto-fills, but you still need to type in your name or email address before the meeting will start. If the link isn't working, you can also join from inside the Zoom app by manually entering the Meeting ID and password from your automated confirmation email. This comes in handy if you're switching devices at the last minute or running into trouble with the link on your current one.

1. Join from IVS - Sign in to the Inmate Visitation System, find your upcoming visit, and click the “Video Call URL” to open Zoom and launch the meeting.
2. Join from your confirmation email - Open the automated confirmation email for your scheduled visit and click the URL provided to open Zoom.
3. Join from the Zoom app - Open Zoom and enter the Meeting ID and password that were provided through the automated confirmation email.

• ✓ Enter your name or email address on the Zoom screen before you select Launch Meeting, even if the Meeting ID is already filled in.

Before visit day, confirm that you're set up in DOC IVS and that this facility's video visits use Zoom. Know where to find your Video Call URL (either under upcoming visits in IVS or in the automated confirmation email). If something looks off when you open Zoom, check that the Meeting ID is still auto-populating from the IVS site or email link. Also verify which name or email you should enter before launching the meeting.
