How to Send Money to Facility

All Pennsylvania Department of Corrections (PA DOC) facilities use JPay for inmate money transfers. If you want to help with commissary purchases or other approved spending, JPay is the only payment channel you'll need.

If you're sending money so your loved one can buy a tablet, know that the inmate has to place the order themselves through the DOC commissary system. You can't order the tablet directly. Instead, you fund the inmate's account through JPay, and they use those funds to purchase the tablet through commissary.

2. Fund the inmate’s account for commissary purchases: If the goal is a tablet, the inmate must order it through the DOC commissary system, and your JPay deposit is what allows them to make that purchase.
