Sending Food Packages to Screven County Jail: How the Union Supply Program Works (and How to Confirm for Your Facility)

Before sending a food package, you need to confirm your loved one's facility actually participates in the Union Supply program. GDC allows Union Supply to receive food package orders for inmates at State Prisons, Integrated Treatment Facilities, and Probation Detention Centers. Notice what's missing from that list: county jails. Verify participation before placing an order.

Start by downloading the official order form. GDC makes these forms available on the Georgia Inmate Package website.

  • Union Supply
  • 2500 Regent Blvd
  • Dept. 421
  • P.O. Box 619059
  • Dallas, TX 75261-9059
  • Phone (local): 1-562-361-5719
  • Phone (toll-free): 1-855-247-0563
  • Fax: 1-310-603-1188

Shipping fee: Every Union Supply order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. GDC states this fee is non-refundable.

For State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), GDC caps orders at $100 per offender or 15 lbs. per package - whichever limit you hit first. Go over either cap, and your order gets trimmed.

Probation Detention Centers have tighter limits: $50 per offender or 7 lbs. per package, whichever comes first.

Placing multiple orders for the same person? GDC consolidates them into one package. The combined order still can't exceed the spending or weight limits.

Watch the deadline closely. GDC won't accept orders received after the cutoff, so check the current deadline before you mail, fax, or call in your order.

Before ordering, confirm you have the right facility information. The Screven County Jail page header lists the address as "Narrow County Jail 202 Rocky Ford Road Sylvania, GA 30467."

Confirm participation first: GDC's Union Supply guidance names State Prisons, Integrated Treatment Facilities, and Probation Detention Centers - not county jails. Contact Screven County Jail directly to confirm they accept Union Supply orders before placing one. Use the facility address shown on the Screven County Jail page to ensure you're reaching the right location.
