When Can I Visit? Complete Schedule for Sedgwick County Jail Video Visits

Remote video visits are available seven days a week, 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Don't let "remote" fool you - these are still scheduled visits, and you'll need to book at least 24 hours ahead.

Blackout times: You can’t schedule visits during shift change (2:30 PM–3:30 PM) or during meal times (11:30 AM–1:00 PM and 5:30 PM–7:00 PM).

If this is your first time registering for remote visitation, build in extra time. New remote visitation users have to be approved by Detention staff, and that approval is only done Monday through Friday.

On-site video visitation runs Monday through Friday in two blocks: 1:00 PM–5:30 PM and 7:00 PM–9:00 PM. The evening window works well if you're coming after work or school. Just keep those blackout times in mind.

Each inmate gets one hour of free on-site visitation per week. Want to visit more often? You can, but additional on-site visits cost the same as remote video visits.

Plan ahead: All visits are video visits (on-site and remote), and they must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

On-site visitation closes on Sedgwick County observed holidays: Christmas Day, New Year's Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, the 4th of July, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the Friday after Thanksgiving.

If you’re bringing kids, plan for supervision: anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
