Dropping Off Court Clothes or Prescriptions at Smith: Where and When to Check In
Need to drop off court clothes, prescriptions, or legal documents at Smith Correctional Facility? Call 951-922-7300 first. Staff will tell you exactly where to check in and what to bring.
Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 p.m., head to the Visiting Center. That's where you'll check in for drop-offs or pick-ups of court clothing, medications, or legal documents during daytime and early evening hours.
Coming later? The check-in point switches after hours. Monday through Friday from 8:45 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., go to the jail lobby instead for court clothing, medications, or legal documents.
Since the check-in location depends on when you arrive, call 951-922-7300 before you leave. Ask whether to go to the Visiting Center or the jail lobby based on your timing.
ID and Pickup Requirements
- ✓ Bring identification - it’s required to pick up an inmate’s property.
Picking up personal property? The inmate must sign a property withdrawal slip authorizing the release before anything can be handed over. One catch: clothing and money aren't included in property pickups, so don't expect to collect those items this way.
Some items can be mailed instead of dropped off in person. Use this format: (Inmate Name & Booking Number) Smith Correctional Facility 1627 S Hargrave Street Banning, CA 92220.
