Stanley CI's Four-Visit Weekly Limit: How the Visiting Week, Weekends, and Holidays Work

Stanley Correctional Institution (Stanley CI) allows persons in care (PIOC) up to four in-person visits per visiting week. If you're trying to fit multiple visits into a busy schedule, that four-visit cap is the number to plan around.

You can't stack those four visits into a single day. Stanley CI allows only one in-person visit per day, so using all four means visiting on four separate days within the visiting week.

Stanley CI's visiting week runs Monday through the following Sunday. That Monday-to-Sunday window is what the facility uses to count visits and apply the weekly limit.

Your visit count resets every Monday. A visit on Sunday counts toward the week that's ending, and a visit the very next day (Monday) counts toward the new week. Even back-to-back days can fall in different visiting weeks.

Holidays can change what counts as "the weekend" for visit purposes. When a holiday falls next to a weekend and creates a three-day weekend, the holiday is treated as part of that weekend. That means only one in-person visit is allowed across the entire three-day stretch.

Practical Tips

• ✓ If you are trying to reach four visits in a week, plan most visits on weekdays so you do not run into the one-visit-per-weekend cap.
• ✓ Use Monday as your reset point. The visiting week starts Monday and runs through Sunday, so visits before and after Monday count in different weeks.

1. Confirm you are approved. You must be on the DOC approved visitor list.
2. Get on the schedule before you go. Visitors must be scheduled prior to arrival. If you are not on the schedule, you will not be allowed to visit.
3. Time your arrival for the window. You cannot enter the lobby until ten minutes before visiting hours start, and you will not be admitted within 30 minutes of the end of the scheduled visit. For in-person visits on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, the listed visiting hours are 2:30 pm to 5:15 pm and 5:45 pm to 8:30 pm.

Choosing between a regular weekend and a holiday weekend? Plan carefully. When the holiday is tied to the weekend, the facility treats all three days as one combined weekend period. You still only get one in-person visit for that entire stretch.
