When someone arrives at Staton Corrections Center, intake screening includes photographs, fingerprints, and physical, dental, and psychological examinations. Reception and classification typically wrap up within two weeks, after which classification and assignment decisions are finalized. Inmates receive a formal classification review at least once a year, with their file reviewed every six months for eligibility changes and program placement needs.
