Free Lobby Kiosk Visits vs. Online Video Visits at Stephens County Jail
Stephens County Jail offers two video visitation options through the same provider. Here's how the free on-site lobby kiosk compares to online video visits, so you can pick the one that fits your situation.
Both visitation options at Stephens County Jail run through Prodigy Solutions, and both are video visits. Whether you're sitting at the on-site kiosk or connecting from home, the visit is video-only and recorded.
The lobby kiosk is available Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. That's a tight window if you work standard daytime hours or are traveling in from out of town, so plan accordingly.
The on-site kiosk allows a maximum of two visitors per machine. If more than two people want to be part of the visit, you'll need to decide beforehand who sits at the kiosk for that session.
Good news: On-site (in-house) visitation at Stephens County Jail is free.
Scheduling works the same for both options: you need to book at least 24 hours in advance. If you're trying to visit same-day, you're out of luck. Pick a later time and schedule for the next day instead.
Time limit: Inmates may receive one 15-minute visit per week.
How to Choose
- ✓ Can you make the on-site kiosk hours (Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 4:30 pm), or do you need the flexibility of an online visit?
- ✓ Will more than two people want to sit in on the visit? The on-site kiosk is limited to two visitors per machine.
- ✓ Can you plan at least a day ahead? Both online and on-site visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance.
Whichever option you choose, the sign-up requirements are the same. You'll need a valid ID, and you'll also need to submit a headshot photo with no effects when you register.
