Free In-Person Kiosk Visits vs. Remote Video Visits at Stephens County Jail

The jail runs visitation through Prodigy Solutions. Your two choices: use the video kiosk in the lobby, or connect remotely from your own device. Both are video-only, and the jail records everything. One thing to know upfront - you can't walk in same-day. All visits, whether on-site or remote, need to be scheduled at least 24 hours ahead through ProdigySales.

The on-site lobby kiosk is available Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

The visitation room kiosk has a two-person limit. If your group is larger, you'll need to split up across kiosks (if more than one is available) or take turns. Bringing kids or coming as a family? Plan ahead so the limit doesn't catch you off guard at check-in.

Free In-Person Kiosk Visits vs. Remote Video Visits at Stephens County Jail

Choose Option

  • On-site lobby kiosk visits are free, which can matter if you’re trying to stay connected on a tight budget.
  • The lobby kiosk option can be a good fit if you’re already in town and can make it during the Monday–Friday lobby window.
  • Remote online visits can be more convenient if you can’t get to the jail during kiosk hours or you’re coordinating from out of town.
  • No matter which option you choose, the jail’s limit is one 15-minute visit per week per inmate - so you may want to plan who will use that time and when.
  • Both online and on-site visits must be scheduled 24 hours in advance through ProdigySales, so last-minute plans usually won’t work.

Note: All visits at Stephens County Jail are video-only and recorded. Treat the conversation like it’s being monitored and keep it appropriate.

Practical Tips

  • Bring a valid, government-issued photo ID for check-in.
  • When you sign up, be ready to submit a headshot photo with no effects/filters.

Reminder: Cell phones and cameras aren’t allowed in the visitation area - and the visit itself is recorded. Leave your devices secured elsewhere before you go in.
