The fastest option is Access Corrections Secure Deposits. Make an online deposit with a Visa or MasterCard - no need to go anywhere in person.
Need help with a deposit? Access Corrections has live bilingual (Spanish/English) agents available 24/7 at 866-345-1884.
Already heading to the jail? You can use the money kiosks in the facility lobbies. Tarrant County installed these in January 2018 to make deposits easier for families.
No-cash policy: The Detention Bureau no longer accepts cash by mail or in person. If cash is sent through the mail, it will be returned to the sender.
- Enroll on CashPayToday.com first - To make a CashPayToday walk-in cash deposit, you must register both yourself (the sender) and the recipient before you go to a participating store.
- ✓ Download or print your CashPayToday barcode before you go.
- ✓ Bring the barcode with you - it’s required at Dollar General and Family Dollar.
- ✓ Use a printed barcode for Family Dollar locations, since Family Dollar currently only accepts printed barcodes.
Check store hours before you go. Most CashPayToday locations are open from about 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and some stay open 24/7.
Sending money by mail? Tarrant County only accepts US Postal and Western Union money orders. Double-check the issuer before you send - other types won't be processed.
Mail accepted money orders to: Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Detention Bureau, 100 N. Lamar, Fort Worth, TX 76196.
Deposits come with fees. Handling charges start at $2.95 and go up depending on how much you're sending.
Timing & troubleshooting: Allow some processing time for your deposit. For fee details or any issues, Access Corrections support is available 24/7 at 866-345-1884 (bilingual Spanish/English).
