The fastest option is Access Corrections Secure Deposits. Make an online deposit with a Visa or MasterCard - no need to go anywhere in person.

Already heading to the jail? You can use the money kiosks in the facility lobbies. Tarrant County installed these in January 2018 to make deposits easier for families.

No-cash policy: The Detention Bureau no longer accepts cash by mail or in person. If cash is sent through the mail, it will be returned to the sender.

  1. Enroll on CashPayToday.com first - To make a CashPayToday walk-in cash deposit, you must register both yourself (the sender) and the recipient before you go to a participating store.
  • Download or print your CashPayToday barcode before you go.
  • Bring the barcode with you - it’s required at Dollar General and Family Dollar.
  • Use a printed barcode for Family Dollar locations, since Family Dollar currently only accepts printed barcodes.

Check store hours before you go. Most CashPayToday locations are open from about 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., and some stay open 24/7.

Sending money by mail? Tarrant County only accepts US Postal and Western Union money orders. Double-check the issuer before you send - other types won't be processed.

Mail accepted money orders to: Tarrant County Sheriff's Office Detention Bureau, 100 N. Lamar, Fort Worth, TX 76196.

Deposits come with fees. Handling charges start at $2.95 and go up depending on how much you're sending.
