How to Send Money to Facility

AdvancePay is a prepaid calling account that’s tied to a phone number. When you add money to your AdvancePay phone number, the incarcerated person can call you using the balance on that prepaid account.

Funding by check or money order? Write your 10-digit telephone number on the payment. That phone number doubles as the account number, and payments received without it cannot be posted. Expect 7 to 10 business days for a check or money order to process.

How to Send Money to Facility

Steps to Follow

  • Confirm the correct AdvancePay 10-digit telephone number you want to fund (this is the account number).
  • If you pay by check or money order, write that full 10-digit telephone number on the payment.
  • Expect check or money order payments to take 7 to 10 business days to post, so send it early if timing matters.

That 7 to 10 business day timeline applies specifically to checks and money orders. If you're using a different payment method, confirm the expected posting time before sending funds. Also verify any formatting rules (for example, exactly where to write the 10-digit number) so your payment doesn't get held up.

Reminder: Double-check the 10-digit telephone number before submitting payment. If it's missing or wrong, the payment cannot be posted to the account.
