How to Visit Facility

Don't go to visit until the inmate confirms your visitation application has been approved. Show up without that approval and you'll be turned away, no matter how far you drove.

Anyone 16 or older must present a valid photo ID to enter the visiting area. Sort this out ahead of time so you're not stuck at the door without the right identification.

How to Visit Facility

Steps to Follow

  • Wait to visit until the inmate notifies you that your visitation application has been approved.
  • If you are 16 or older, bring a valid photo ID for entry to the visiting area.

Before you plan a trip, find out exactly how you'll be notified that your application was approved. Ask what the notification looks like and when to expect it. Don't rely on secondhand information.

Double-check which photo IDs count as "valid" for visitors age 16 and up. If you have a temporary ID, an out-of-state ID, or anything expired, call ahead to ask whether it will be accepted.
