Setting Up a TDCJ Online Visitation Scheduler Account: Step-by-Step
  1. Enter your email and submit it - Use the “Create an Account” option and submit the email address you want tied to your scheduler account.
  2. Open the validation email - After you submit your email, the system sends you a message that includes a link and a 7-digit validation code.
  3. Use the link and enter the 7-digit code - Follow the email’s link and enter the validation code to complete your account registration.

Note: Check your inbox (and spam/junk folder) for the validation email, and use the link/code from that message to finish registration.

Important: Once your scheduler account is created, it can’t be deleted, and the email address on the account can’t be changed - use an email you’ll keep long-term.

Once your account is validated, you'll move through several setup screens - including the Background Questionnaire and Visitor Profile. Watch for red text flagging missing information, and use the edit option to complete any required fields. The phone number trips people up. On the Visitor Profile, enter your telephone number in this exact format: three digits, space, three digits, space, four digits (XXX XXX XXXX).

Tip: Don’t use dashes or other punctuation in the phone number. Type it with spaces (for example, 555 123 4567) to match the required format.

With your profile complete, you can add the person you want to visit. Submit a Relationship Request through the scheduler, and it goes to the inmate's assigned unit. Staff there will verify your relationship.

You won't be able to schedule visits until that verification is complete. Check the scheduler periodically for status updates on your request - that's how you'll know when you're cleared to book.

When it's time to schedule, your options depend on the inmate's privileges and the unit's setup. If your relationship hasn't been verified yet, scheduling stays blocked until the unit confirms your request.

  • If the scheduler shows “Call Unit” or you can’t complete scheduling, call the unit for help.
  • Ask whether the inmate’s privileges and your relationship verification status are preventing scheduling.
  • Request assistance from unit staff with the scheduling process if the system requires unit involvement.
