How to Order a Food Package (Union Supply) for Someone in a GDC Facility — What to Know

The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) allows approved family and friends to order food packages through Union Supply for people housed in GDC facilities. Before you spend time filling out a form or sending payment, confirm the person you're helping is eligible under this program. Also check whether Thomas County Jail participates - not every jail follows the same package vendor rules.

How to Place Order

  • Order by mail: Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059
  • Order by phone (local): 1-562-361-5719
  • Order by phone (toll-free): 1-855-247-0563
  • Order by fax: 1-310-603-1188

Every Union Supply order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. That fee is non-refundable, so double-check your order details and deadlines before submitting.

For GDC State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), packages are capped at $100 per offender or 15 lbs. - whichever you hit first. If your cart is approaching either limit, the order will be cut off at the first cap reached.

Probation Detention Centers have lower limits: $50 per offender or 7 lbs. per package, whichever comes first. Not sure what type of facility your person is in? Confirm that before building your order.

Note: Multiple orders for the same offender get combined into one package. The consolidated package still can't exceed GDC's spending or weight limits.

Deadline warning: Orders received after the stated deadline won't be accepted.
