Scheduling a Visit at Thomas County Jail: Deadlines and What You’ll Need
Scheduling a visit comes down to two things: submitting your request correctly and getting it in before the deadline. Here's what you need to know.
To request a visit at Thomas County Jail, submit your request through the GDC visitation request form. That form is your starting point for getting on the schedule.
Planning a weekend visit? Submit your request by 5:00 PM on Wednesday of that same week. Wait until Thursday and you'll miss the cutoff.
Holiday visits have a different deadline: 5:00 PM, three days before the holiday. Count back from the holiday date and make sure you submit before that cutoff.
Have the person's Offender ID (GDC ID) ready before you start. The form requires it, and having the correct number upfront saves you from delays or starting over.
Enter your name as the form requests: last name, first name, and optionally a middle name. Use your legal name - the one on your ID - to keep everything consistent.
The form asks for your email address. Use one you check regularly so you don't miss any follow-ups.
You'll also need to provide your relationship to the person you're visiting and your date of birth. Have that information handy when you fill out the form.
Select your ID type on the form: Driver's License, State ID, or None. If you choose Driver's License or State ID, you'll need to enter the ID number too. Grab your card before you start so you can type it in accurately.
