Ordering food packages for someone at Tift County Law Detention (Union Supply rules and limits)
If your loved one is eligible for Union Supply food packages, you can place an order as an approved family member or friend. Packages are delivered according to Georgia Department of Corrections rules.
The Georgia Department of Corrections (GDC) allows approved family and friends to order food packages through Union Supply. You're not sending homemade food - you're choosing from a pre-approved list of items that GDC permits offenders to receive.
Before you order: Confirm the person you're ordering for is actually eligible to receive Union Supply packages under the program rules. Don't spend money until you're sure.
To order by mail, send your completed order to: Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059.
To order by phone, call 1-562-361-5719. If you prefer toll-free, call 1-855-247-0563.
To order by fax, use 1-310-603-1188.
Every Union Supply order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. That fee is non-refundable.
For State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), GDC caps packages at $100 per offender or 15 lbs. - whichever you hit first.
Probation Detention Centers have stricter limits: $50 per offender or 7 lbs. per package - whichever comes first.
Heads up: If multiple people place orders for the same offender, those orders get combined into one package. The combined total still can't exceed the spending or weight limits.
Deadlines are strict. Any order received after the published cutoff won't be accepted - so place your order early rather than waiting until the last day.
Different vendor? Some Georgia facilities use a package vendor other than Union Supply. If you're unsure, verify the correct vendor before placing an order.
