How to Send a Food Package to Someone at Tift County Law Detention (Union Supply Guide)

Georgia's Department of Corrections partners with Union Supply to deliver food packages to inmates in participating programs. Approved family and friends place the orders. One exception: Riverbend Private Prison still uses Access Securepak (not Union Supply) until further notice.

Start with the official order form from the Georgia Inmate Package website. The form lists every item pre-approved by the Georgia Department of Corrections - so you're choosing from what's actually allowed, not guessing.

Prefer mail? Send your completed order to: Union Supply, 2500 Regent Blvd, Dept. 421, P.O. Box 619059, Dallas, TX 75261-9059.

To order by phone, call 1-562-361-5719. There's also a toll-free number: 1-855-247-0563.

You can fax your order to 1-310-603-1188.

For State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities (ITFs), packages max out at $100 or 15 lbs. - whichever comes first. If multiple people place orders for the same person, Union Supply combines them into one package that stays within those limits.

Probation Detention Centers have stricter limits: $50 or 7 lbs. per package, whichever comes first. Multiple orders get consolidated the same way.

Every Union Supply order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. This fee is non-refundable.

Deadline reminder: Union Supply won't accept orders received after the program deadline. Place your order early to make sure it arrives on time.

Practical Tips

  • Make sure you’re an approved family member or friend before you place an order through Union Supply.
  • Use the program’s limits to plan your cart: for State Prisons and ITFs, the max is $100 or 15 lbs per package, and multiple orders get consolidated into one package to stay under that cap.
  • If the person is in a Probation Detention Center, the max is $50 or 7 lbs per package, and multiple orders are still consolidated into one package.
  • Budget for the $2.95 shipping and handling charge on every order, and remember it’s non-refundable.
