How to Sign Up for Titus County Emergency Alerts (Hyper-Reach): Add your cell and know the text-message terms

Titus County uses Hyper-Reach Community Alerts for local emergency and community notifications. When you register, you can add a cell phone, email, and/or TDD - so you're not stuck relying on a single method for time-sensitive updates.

Double-check your street address during signup. Titus County uses it to target Emergency Alerts to affected areas - a wrong street number or missing unit could mean you miss alerts that apply to your location.

  • Double-check your house number before you submit
  • Add your apartment/unit/suite if you have one
  • Confirm the street name is spelled correctly (and matches what you normally use for mail)
  • If the signup page shows an address selection or map pin, make sure it matches your actual location

Hyper-Reach automatically calls listed landlines for Titus County notifications. If you want alerts on a cell phone - or your home phone is unlisted - you'll need to register those numbers yourself. Look for the

  1. Decide which numbers need manual signup - Any unlisted landline and any cell number you want to use for alerts must be added.
  2. Use the Community Alerts registration fields - Enter the cell number (and any other contact methods you want, like email or TDD) so those channels can receive notifications.
  3. Add additional household contacts if needed - If more than one person should get alerts, register each contact method you want included.
  • If you have a listed landline, expect Hyper-Reach to call it automatically
  • If you rely on a cell phone, make sure that cell number is signed up (it won’t be automatic)
  • If your landline is unlisted, make sure you registered it
  • Add contact info for other members of your household if they also need alerts
  • If you want email and/or TDD notifications, confirm those entries are included under Community Alerts

By submitting a mobile number, you're agreeing to receive text messages from Hyper-Reach for the alerts you select. How often you get messages depends on what's happening locally. Your carrier may charge message and data rates for these texts.

Note: Text alerts can count toward your phone plan. If you’re on a limited texting/data plan, check what your carrier charges for incoming messages and data use.
