Texas IVSS is a free online notification service run by the Office of the Texas Attorney General, Crime Victim Services Division. Instead of constantly checking for updates yourself, you can register and get automated alerts whenever the system shows a custody status change.

The IVSS website updates offender status changes 24 hours a day. Real-world events won't always feel instant, but the system refreshes continuously as new information comes in - day and night.

Can't find someone in IVSS search results? They may no longer be in custody. IVSS doesn't always include people who have been released, so a missing result doesn't mean you searched wrong.

If you registered for someone who later disappears from search results (because they're out of custody), your registration stays active. You'll still get notified if they're taken back into custody.

Notifications arrive through whatever contact method you provided during registration. If the person is taken back into custody after being released, you'll still receive alerts - and your registration updates to reflect their new status.
