T. L. Roach Unit Catholic Services: What’s Available and When
Helping someone at the T. L. Roach Unit attend Catholic services? Two things matter most: his custody level (which determines the schedule) and whether his Travel Card lists "Catholic" as his religious preference. Here's what's offered and when.
Catholic Mass at the T. L. Roach Unit happens on Saturdays. Minimum custody attends from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., and medium custody attends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
There's also an Adult Faith Study Class on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., listed as "Lay-In."
Minimum custody Mass is Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. This time slot is specifically for minimum custody and isn't interchangeable with the medium custody service.
Medium custody Mass is Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. If your loved one is classified as medium custody, this is his assigned time.
Note: The unit assigns separate Mass times based on custody level (minimum vs. medium). Schedules can shift, so confirm current times with the unit before making plans.
The Adult Faith Study Class meets Fridays from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. It's listed as "Lay-In" on the schedule.

To attend Catholic services at the unit, an offender must have "Catholic" listed as his Religious Preference on his Travel Card. No Catholic designation, no access to these services.
