How to Stop Receiving Calls from Ventura County Jail
Want inmate calls to stop coming to your phone? You can request a block directly.
To block inmate calls to your phone number, call 1-800-844-6591.
When you call 1-800-844-6591, you're requesting that inmates can no longer reach your specific phone number. Once the block takes effect, calls from the jail to that number should stop. Keep a record of your request - you may need it if you have to follow up later.
Tip: Write down the date and time you called, plus the name of the representative you spoke with.
Dealing with charges, billing problems, or a refund for Securus Technology phone or video services? You'll need to contact Securus directly. The Ventura County Sheriff's Office doesn't process refunds for Securus-related issues.
- Contact Securus Technology - explain whether you’re disputing a charge, requesting a refund, or reporting a service problem.
- Gather your billing details - pull together the phone number that was called, dates/times, and any account or payment records you have.
- Follow Securus’ dispute/refund process - ask what they need from you and keep notes on the outcome for your records.
If you'd rather control how calls are paid for instead of blocking them entirely, family and friends can set up an Advance Connect prepaid calling account. This account is tied to a specific phone number and funded by people on the outside.
