What Happens If You Need to Cancel Your Video Visit at Ventura County Jail

Cancel at least two hours before your scheduled time, and the $6.00 gets credited back to your Securus prepaid account. If the facility cancels on you, you'll still get that credit - it's not supposed to cost you when the cancellation isn't your doing.

Tip: Cancel as soon as you know you can’t make it - waiting too long can put you inside that two-hour window and cost you the credit.

Miss your scheduled video visit without checking in? No refund, no credit. Same goes if your internet drops mid-call. Ventura County Jail won't issue a refund for a lost connection, even if you couldn't finish your time.

Warning: If your internet cuts out mid-visit, that visit isn’t eligible for a refund or credit.

Need to dispute a charge or request a refund for Securus phone or video services? You'll have to go through Securus directly. The Ventura County Sheriff's Office doesn't handle refunds for anything involving Securus Technology.
