What to Wear and What Not to Do When Visiting Tooele County Detention

Tooele County Detention requires clothing that covers from neck to kneecaps. Fall short of that, and you'll be turned away.

Tip: When you’re unsure, dress more conservatively than you think you need to. It’s the easiest way to avoid being turned away after you’ve already made the trip.

You can register for iWebVisit right in the Visitation Lobby. Bring a valid government-issued photo ID showing your current photo and date of birth. An email address is optional - you can provide one during registration, but it's not required.

To register in the lobby, you must be over 18 with a valid ID. Want to save time? You can also create your iWebVisit account online before you arrive.

  • A valid government-issued photo ID (must show your photo and date of birth)
  • Be over 18 years old (required to register via the lobby method)
  • An email address if you have one (optional)

Children can't visit alone. Any minor must be accompanied by a documented legal guardian.

Warning: Don’t leave kids unattended at any point - unattended children will cause the visit to be terminated.

Behaviors Ending Visit

  • Disorderly conduct during the visit
  • Arriving or attempting to visit while under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol
  • Illegal or sexual behavior during a visit, including disrobing

Disorderly behavior will end your visit. Show up under the influence of drugs or alcohol, and you'll be denied entry and asked to leave the building. Illegal or sexual behavior - including disrobing - also terminates the visit immediately. These violations can get you permanently barred from Tooele County Detention and may result in criminal prosecution.
