How to schedule your first in‑person visit at Topeka Correctional Facility

Before you can schedule anything, you need to be on the resident's pre-approved KDOC visitation list. No approval, no visit - even if you show up hoping to sort it out in person.

The approval process starts with the resident. Once they're eligible for visiting privileges, they'll send you the paperwork you need to register as a visitor. Complete it and follow the return instructions so the facility can review your application and add you to the visiting list.

At Topeka Correctional Facility, you can't just show up - you need a scheduled appointment. Book through the online visitation scheduler at www.icsolutions.com or by contacting the facility visitation clerk. Skip scheduling, and you'll be denied access.

Can't use the online scheduler? Call the Topeka Correctional Facility visitation clerk at 785-559-5100 to book your visit. Either way, your appointment has to be on the schedule before you arrive.

Don't wait until the last minute. All in-person visits must be scheduled at least 72 hours before visitation begins for that week. Plan ahead and book as soon as you know which weekend works.

Each adult facility offers two visit slots per day - morning and afternoon. You can sign up for one slot or book both on the same day if you want to spend the full day visiting.

One limit to know: you can't book multiple days on the same weekend. If you want more time, pick one day and book one or both slots - not Saturday and Sunday.

Check the online scheduler before you travel. Topeka Correctional Facility only admits approved visitors who booked through the ICSolutions scheduler or the visitation clerk. If the schedule is full and you don't have a slot, you'll be turned away.

2. Cancel as soon as you know you can’t make it - Missed visits could result in suspension, so it’s better to cancel properly than to no-show.
