If you’re mailing a deposit, send the money order or cashier’s check to: Inmate Trust Fund (Inmate’s Full Name and Jail ID/Booking Number), P.O. Box 1368, Del Valle, TX 78617. Make sure the inmate’s name and Jail ID/Booking Number are included as shown so the deposit can be applied correctly.
Include the sender’s name and return address with mailed funds. Also double-check the payee line: money orders and cashier’s checks must be made payable to “Inmate Trust Fund.”
Reminder: Travis County does not accept money orders over $100 for deposit to an inmate trust account.
If you use Western Union to send money, the inmate account formatting matters. Use the inmate’s 7-digit Booking Number followed immediately by their last name, with no spaces or hyphens (example: 1234567Smith).
Western Union also requires the Travis County Sheriff “code city,” which is: TCSOITF TX. Once sent, Western Union deposits are received and posted the following business day.
Good to know: Western Union accepts credit and debit card payments for inmate deposits, and Western Union fees apply.
At the Travis County Corrections Complex, there are two ways an inmate can receive commissary: traditional commissary or via a SecurePak.
Traditional commissary comes out of the inmate’s Inmate Trust Fund account. The inmate places their order using kiosks located inside the jail facility.
