How to Schedule Your First Visit at Travis County Correctional Complex (Face-to-Face vs. Onsite Video)

TCCC in Del Valle offers two onsite visit types: face-to-face and onsite video. Face-to-face visits are in-person but non-contact - expect a barrier between you and the person you're visiting. Onsite video visits also happen at the facility, but you'll use a video kiosk in the visitation area instead of sitting across from each other.

Both of these onsite visits are handled at the Travis County Correctional Complex (TCCC) in Del Valle: 3614 Bill Price Rd., Del Valle, TX 78617.

How to Schedule Your First Visit at Travis County Correctional Complex (Face-to-Face vs. Onsite Video)

Face-to-face visits require scheduling at least 24 hours ahead through ViaPath Technologies Travis County Visitation Scheduling. Onsite video visits can also be booked through ViaPath, or you may be able to schedule at the kiosk in the TCCC Visitation Center when you arrive.

Don’t wait until the last minute: Face-to-face visits must be scheduled a minimum of 24 hours in advance.

  • Only two visitors are allowed in the face-to-face visitation area.
  • Exception: if a child under 12 is included, the limit is three visitors.

Bringing a minor? Not sure what ID you need? Check the rules in the ViaPath scheduling system or the current facility visitation guidance before you finalize your trip. A few minutes of research beats getting turned away at check-in over a paperwork issue.

Give yourself plenty of buffer time. TCCC requires you to arrive at least 30 minutes before your visit for check-in. Here's the catch: check-in closes 15 minutes before your scheduled start time, and late arrivals aren't accepted. Even if you technically made it to the building, cutting it close means risking the whole visit.

Time cutoff: Miss the 15-minute check-in deadline and your visit won't happen. You'll need to reschedule for the next available slot.

Face-to-face visits at TCCC are non-contact. You'll see and talk with the person you're visiting, but there's no hugging, holding hands, or passing items.

Quick prep tip: Before you arrive, double-check the current visitation rules on what you can bring into the visitation area (including food and drinks), so you don’t have to walk items back out or miss your check-in window.

Having trouble scheduling? Can't find available times, or confused about video vs. face-to-face options? Start with ViaPath Technologies - they handle scheduling for both visit types.

If something goes wrong with a scheduled visit - missing confirmation, need to change your time - use the customer support option in the ViaPath scheduling system. Already at the facility and something seems off? Flag it with visitation staff immediately. Waiting until the last few minutes could push you past the check-in cutoff.
