How to schedule a visit at Travis County and arrive on time
Visiting at Travis County goes smoothly when you pick the right visit type, schedule within the rules, and give yourself enough time to check in. Here's how to set everything up — and avoid getting turned away for running late.
Travis County offers two on-site options: face-to-face visits or onsite video visits using a kiosk. Either way, the weekly limit is the same - two visits total, combining both types.
For a face-to-face visit, plan ahead. These are non-contact visits, and you'll need to schedule at least 24 hours in advance through ViaPath Technologies Travis County Visitation Scheduling.
Onsite video (kiosk) visits are another option if you'd rather visit on-site that way. Just remember: kiosk visits count toward your two-per-week limit too.
Help line: ViaPath Technologies Visitation Customer Support is 1-855-208-7349. Use this number if you need help with an onsite video (kiosk) visit.
Visits are available Wednesday through Sunday, 8:00 am to 9:00 pm. These hours don't apply on county holidays, so if you're planning a holiday weekend visit, confirm your slot before making the trip.
Checkin Timing
- ✓ Arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled visit time so you can check in.
- ✓ Complete check-in no later than 15 minutes before the visit starts - late check-ins are not accepted.
On visit day, you'll wait in the central lobby until staff call your name and direct you to your assigned booth. When your visit ends, exit promptly so staff can keep the schedule moving for other visitors.
