Understanding Travis County's Two-Visits-Per-Week Rule

Travis County uses a combined weekly limit - two visits total, whether face-to-face or onsite video (kiosk). One of each? That's your two. Two kiosk visits? No face-to-face until next week.

Onsite visitation runs Wednesday through Sunday, with time slots between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm. Face-to-face visits are non-contact - expect a barrier rather than physical contact. Visitor limits matter too. Only two people can enter the face-to-face visitation area at once. The exception: if a child under 12 is visiting, three visitors are allowed. Anyone under 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. One more thing - no food or beverages in the visitation area. Handle snacks before or after your visit.

The two-visit cap shapes how you schedule. Face-to-face visits require at least 24 hours advance notice through ViaPath Technologies Travis County Visitation Scheduling - plan accordingly. Onsite video visits offer more flexibility. Schedule in advance through ViaPath, or book at the kiosk in the TCCC Visitation Center. But remember: a kiosk visit still counts toward your weekly two. If you want to save a slot for face-to-face, think twice before booking that video visit.

  • Arrive at least 30 minutes early to check in.
  • Make sure you’re checked in no later than 15 minutes before the visit start time - late check-ins are not accepted.

Schedule window: Onsite visitation runs Wednesday–Sunday, with visit time slots between 8:00 am and 9:00 pm.

Run into a scheduling issue? ViaPath customer support can help: 1-855-208-7349. If you can't book an onsite video visit ahead of time, head to the kiosk at the TCCC Visitation Center instead.

  1. Use ViaPath to rebook - For face-to-face visits, schedule through ViaPath Technologies Travis County Visitation Scheduling; for onsite video, you can schedule through ViaPath or at the kiosk.
  2. Count your weekly visits before you confirm - Remember the limit is two visits per week total, and it combines face-to-face and onsite video visits.
  3. Book face-to-face at least 24 hours ahead - If you’re rescheduling a face-to-face visit, make sure the new time is at least 24 hours in advance.
