Virtual Visits with Trenton Inmates: Cost, Scheduling, Tech Requirements, and Rules

You must be on the inmate's approved visitation list to request a virtual visit at Trenton Correctional Institution. No approved list, no virtual visit.

1. Create your visitor account - Set up an account at scdoc.gtlvisitme.com/app.
2. Have each visitor create their own account - Even if you plan to visit together on the same call, each person who wants to participate must have their own account.

Plan ahead. You must schedule at least three days in advance, but no more than seven days out. Time slots fill on a first-come, first-served basis, so book early if you want a specific time.

Virtual visitation costs a flat $10 for a 50-minute session. Visits start on the hour, and you're charged when the visit begins. End early? No partial refunds. The cost is still $10.

Keep the headcount small. A maximum of four approved visitors can participate in a single virtual visit. If approved minor children join, they count toward that four-person limit.

ID Arrival Locations

• ✓ Bring a photo ID if you are an approved visitor age 10 or older (the visitation coordinator will ask to see it).
• ✓ For approved children under 10, have a certified long-form birth certificate ready as their identification.
• ✓ Be in place in front of your device 15 minutes before the scheduled start time.
• ✓ Do not participate from prohibited locations such as bedrooms, bathrooms, nightclubs, or similar places.

All virtual visits are recorded and monitored. Staff can review them for appropriateness, and inappropriate behavior will get the call terminated immediately. Violations can also lead to suspended visitation privileges for the inmate, the visitor, or both.
