Setting Up Phone Calls with Securus and What to Expect When Your Loved One Calls

Treutlen PDC uses Securus for inmate phone calls. You can set up either a pre-paid collect account or a direct-bill account. Sign up through the Securus Technologies website, or call 1-800-844-6591 to set it up by phone. Once your account is active, you'll be ready to accept calls when your loved one gets approved to dial your number.

On your loved one's end, calls can be funded through a Securus debit calling account. They can transfer money from their trust account to that debit calling account in $1 increments. This means their ability to call depends on having funds available to transfer. If calls suddenly stop, check whether they still have money set aside for phone time.

Funding a Securus pre-paid collect account? There's a cap on deposits: $200.00 maximum per transaction.

Calls are time-limited. The maximum is 25 minutes per call, so even a good conversation can end abruptly when the system cuts it off.

A couple of common phone features will block calls. Call forwarding and three-way calling are not permitted. Your loved one can only call numbers on their Call Allow List. If you recently changed your number or want them to reach a different phone, that number needs to be added to the list before calls will connect.
