How to Schedule a Video Visit at Northwest Regional Corrections Center (NWRCC)

3 min read Verified from official sources

Northwest Regional Corrections Center (NWRCC) offers two types of video visits: on-site (you go to the jail and use their video equipment) or at-home (you connect remotely from your own device). The big difference comes down to limits and convenience. Each inmate is allowed two 20-minute on-site (public) visits per day, while remote at-home visits can be unlimited. One thing to know upfront: you can't just log in and start a visit. All visits have to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.

  1. Go to the Video Visit Anywhere site and create your account - Set up a free visitation user account if you do not already have one.
  2. Request access to Northwest Regional Corrections Center - In the platform, choose NWRCC as the facility you want to visit so your request can be routed for review.
  3. Wait for the facility to review your request - Your access request is reviewed before you can schedule visits.
  • Upload a current photo of yourself
  • Upload a government-issued photo ID
  • Submit the request and wait for facility approval (jail staff review visitor access requests before you can schedule)

For at-home visits, you have two options: download the free Securus Visitation app (available in the App Store or Google Play), or use a computer with a webcam and high-speed internet. The app is usually the simplest route if you plan to visit from your phone or tablet. Either method works as long as your account is approved.

Once your visitor access is approved, schedule your visit through the same Video Visit Anywhere and Securus visitation platform where you created your account. Both on-site and at-home video visits follow the same booking rule: at least 24 hours in advance. If you try to schedule inside that window, the time slot you want may not show up.

Note: You won't be able to schedule anything until jail staff approve your visitor request. Even after approval, the 24-hour advance booking rule still applies to every visit type.

Start by choosing your visit type (on-site vs. at-home), since the available time windows and limits are different. On-site (public) video visitation runs Monday through Friday in three blocks: 8:00 to 9:00 am, 9:40 to 10:40 am, and 1:00 to 4:00 pm. There's no on-site visiting on weekends or holidays. At-home visits can be scheduled every day from 7:00 am to 9:20 pm, though times may shift due to jail lockdowns. Keep the daily limits in mind, too. Each inmate gets two 20-minute on-site visits per day, while remote at-home visits can be unlimited.

  1. Use the same platform you scheduled with - Open the Securus Visitation app on your phone or tablet, or log in from a computer with a webcam and high-speed internet.
  2. Sign in a little early - Give yourself a moment to confirm your camera, audio, and connection are working before your appointment time.
  3. Join at your scheduled time - Start the visit from the appointment in your account (this applies to both on-site and at-home visits).

If you're stuck on account setup, messaging activation, or any other Securus-related issue, call Securus Technologies at (800) 844-6591. Before you call, double-check two things: that your visitor request was actually approved (jail staff review these manually) and that you're trying to schedule far enough ahead. Most scheduling problems at NWRCC come down to approval status or the 24-hour advance booking rule.

  • Confirm your visit is scheduled at least 24 hours in advance
  • Confirm your photo and government-issued ID were submitted and approved
  • Confirm your device setup (app login, internet connection, webcam/camera)
