Visiting Rules at NWRCC: Who Can Visit, Age Restrictions, and Behavior Guidelines

If you’re bringing anyone under 18, plan on supervising them the entire time. All visitors under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

  • Create a free user account and submit a picture and a government photo ID for facility approval before you schedule a visit.
  • Check in with corrections staff when you arrive for your visit.
  • Bring an official picture ID that includes your date of birth (staff will verify it at check-in).

NWRCC requires all visits - on-site and off-site - to be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. Show up without scheduling ahead, and you'll be turned away.

Keep your group small. Visits are limited to two adult visitors per session, or one adult and two small children. On the inmate side, it's one person at a time - you can only visit one inmate, and only one inmate may use the visiting station per visit.

Behavior and Dress

Note: If you appear to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, you will be denied a visit.

Contraband rules are enforced strictly. Attempt to smuggle anything in, and you'll be asked to leave - plus you'll lose future visiting privileges.

Warning: Visiting while driving is strictly prohibited and is illegal.

Bringing kids? Plan for constant supervision. Children cannot be left unattended in the lobby area.

On-site/public visitation runs Monday through Friday during these sessions: 8:00–9:00 a.m., 9:40–10:40 a.m., and 1:00–4:00 p.m. There is no on-site visiting on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays.

On-site visits are free - no fees to budget for.
