Why Your Visit Request Might Be Delayed or Denied at NWRCC
Visit problems at NWRCC usually boil down to two things: your approval isn't complete yet, or a security rule is blocking the visit. Here's how the process works and what typically causes delays, cancellations, or denials.
Before you can schedule a visit at NWRCC, you need to be approved as a visitor on the video visitation platform. Start by creating a free account, then submit a photo of yourself and a government-issued photo ID. Jail staff will review your request. Until they approve you, scheduling a visit isn't an option.
Timing matters too. All visits - whether on-site or remote - must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance through the video visitation platform. Try to book last minute, or still be waiting on approval inside that 24-hour window, and your visit request won't go through.
NWRCC runs security checks on all visitors. Staff check for outstanding warrants and search for court orders that prevent contact. If either applies to you, your visit can be blocked - even if everything else looks fine.
Note: These checks can block a visit outright, even after you've planned around the schedule. Visits can also be delayed or cut short if security issues come up inside the facility.
3
- ✓ Showing up appearing to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- ✓ Using profanities, nudity, or illicit gestures during a visit, or failing to remain fully clothed
- ✓ Attempting to smuggle contraband into the facility (you can be asked to leave and forfeit future visiting privileges)
Sometimes the problem has nothing to do with you. If security issues arise inside Northwest Regional Corrections Center, visits can end early, start late, or get canceled for the day.
Remote visits at NWRCC can be scheduled daily from 7:00 am to 9:20 pm, but availability shifts during jail lockdowns. Once you pick a time, treat it as locked in - scheduled remote visiting times are exact and can't be adjusted.
Reminder: Lockdowns and other facility security issues can affect scheduled remote visits too, including whether your visit starts or continues as planned.
If your request gets denied, figure out whether it's an approval issue or a security issue. Approval depends on completing your account setup and submitting your photo and government-issued photo ID for staff review. Security-wise, NWRCC checks all visitors for outstanding warrants and court orders preventing contact - either one can block your visit. Not sure what happened? Contact the facility to ask about your status.
Heads up: Remote visits are paid in advance through the visiting platform, and those fees are non-refundable.
