How to Register for Visitation at Turbeville (online starting June 1, 2025)
Starting June 1, 2025, you can register for visitation online if you're 18 or older and have a valid South Carolina driver's license. Meet both requirements? Online registration is your starting point for getting approved.
Note: Some relationships may still require verification during approval, even if you qualify for online registration.
Visitors under 18 still go through the paper process - that hasn't changed. Submit a paper visitation application for any minor child, along with documentation verifying their relationship to the person you're visiting.
Don't have a South Carolina driver's license? Paper applications work for adults using a passport, U.S. visa, or out-of-state driver's license. They're also accepted if you don't have any ID at all.
No computer access? Online system giving you trouble? Paper applications are always an option. Technology shouldn't be the thing that stops you from visiting.
Mail paper visitation applications to: Division of Visitation and I/M DT, P.O. Box 212969, Columbia, S.C., 29221-2969.
