How to Order Food Packages for Someone in a GDC Facility (what Turner County families should know)

Union Supply is the authorized vendor for food packages going to GDC State Prisons, Integrated Treatment Facilities, and Probation Detention Centers.

This program is only for approved family and friends - ordering isn't open to everyone. Once you're approved, you can place orders through Union Supply using the methods below.

Start with the official paperwork. The order forms show GDC-approved items and are available on the Georgia Inmate Package website. GDC also offers a downloadable PDF of the food package guidelines - handy if you want a printable reference while filling everything out.

For online orders, start with the official order form from the Georgia Inmate Package website. It lists every food item GDC has pre-approved. Using the form as your guide helps you avoid picking items that won't be accepted.

1. Download and print the order form - Use the Georgia Inmate Package website to get the current form with GDC pre-approved items.
2. Fill it out completely - Double-check your loved one’s information and your selections so the order can be processed without delays.
3. Prepare your payment - Include payment with your mail order so it can be processed when it arrives.

Every order includes a $2.95 shipping and handling charge. This fee is non-refundable, so factor it into your total before submitting.

State Prisons and Integrated Treatment Facilities have a cap of $100 per offender or 15 pounds per package - whichever comes first. Even if you're under the dollar limit, hitting the weight cap can still stop your order.

Probation Detention Centers have tighter limits: $50 per offender or 7 pounds per package, whichever comes first. Keep orders smaller and watch both cost and weight.

Multiple orders for the same offender get combined into one package. That combined package still can't exceed the dollar or weight limits - placing several smaller orders won't let you sneak past the cap.
