How to Visit Facility

To get on the schedule, submit your request through the Georgia DOC visitation request form. If this is your first visit, that form is your starting point.

Timing matters. Weekend visitation requests must be submitted by 5:00 PM on Wednesday of the same week. For state holidays, the cutoff is 5:00 PM three days before the holiday. Miss either deadline and you'll have to wait for the next opening.

Already have a visit on the books? The visitation page has tools to manage it. Use the "Add Visitor" link to include additional guests, or the "Cancel my visit" link if plans change.

1. Submit your visitation request. Use the Georgia DOC visitation request form to request a scheduled visit.
2. Watch the weekend deadline. If you’re trying to visit on a weekend, submit your request by 5:00 PM on Wednesday of that same week.
3. Plan ahead for holidays. If your visit is around a state holiday, submit the request by 5:00 PM three days before the holiday.

Confirm you're using the right tools on the visitation page. The Georgia DOC visitation request form should still be the way to submit a scheduled visit, and the "Add Visitor" and "Cancel my visit" links should be available if you need to adjust an existing appointment.
