What to Expect at Security Screening and What You Can (and Cannot) Bring to Turney Center

Before entering the visitation area at Turney Center, you'll pass through multiple security screenings, including a body scanner. This is standard procedure. The less you bring, the faster you'll get through - so travel light.

• ✓ Baby items (as needed) in a clear plastic bag, such as diapers, formula powder, and unopened sealed baby food
• ✓ Vending debit card (buy or reload it in the lobby before you enter the visitation area)

Leave everything else locked in your vehicle. Phones, smart watches, wallets, and similar personal items aren't allowed in the visitation area - they stay in your car. If you're bringing valuables for the drive, figure out what's staying behind before you arrive. You don't want to be sorting through your pockets at the entrance.

Your vehicle may be searched as part of the security process. Keep your car tidy and don't bring anything you wouldn't want inspected - security doesn't stop at the front door.
