How to send mail, books, and magazines to someone at Twin Falls Community Reentry Center

Twin Falls Community Reentry Center (TFCRC) is located at 616 Washington St. South, Twin Falls, ID 83301. Format your envelope like this: the resident's last name and IDOC number go on the first line, the facility name and unit number on the second, and the facility's PO Box (or street address) on the third.

Residents can receive regular letters, but packages aren't allowed. Want to send something other than paper mail? Check the publications rules below - books, magazines, and newspapers have their own process.

Photo rule: You can send photos, but Polaroids aren’t allowed, and photos that contain nudity will be rejected.

All personal letters are opened and searched for contraband before delivery. This screening can slow things down, so mail time-sensitive items early.

If something isn’t allowed: Unacceptable items can be returned to the sender or turned over to the proper authorities.

Publications follow stricter rules than letters. You can't send magazines, newspapers, or other publications yourself - they must come directly from the publisher or an IDOC-approved vendor, and the shipment needs to include a receipt or invoice. Magazines and newspapers also require a printed delivery label showing the resident's name and address. Miss any of these requirements and the item gets returned.

Books are allowed, but they must be softcover and no larger than 11 inches long, 8 1/2 inches wide, and 3 inches thick. If the book is educational, legal, or religious and a softcover version isn’t available, the resident can seek approval to obtain a hardback copy.

Don't slip stamps, envelopes, or stationery into your letter for the resident to use - they won't be accepted. Residents with funds must purchase these items through commissary.

  • If a resident is indigent (doesn’t have funds), stationery and postage are provided for one personal letter per week.
  1. Write “Return to Sender” on the envelope - use those exact words.
  2. Mail it back unopened - don’t open the letter before returning it.

To deposit money, IDOC directs people to use Access Corrections. Check the Deposit and Payment Services FAQ for current options and instructions.
