Visiting Someone at Union County Jail (Lake Butler): What to Know Before You Go
Union County Jail has limited visiting hours, so it pays to know the basics before you make the drive. Here's what to expect.
Visiting days are Thursday and Friday, 1:00pm to 3:00pm. You can only visit on one of those days per week, not both. Pick a day and plan around that 1:00pm to 3:00pm window.
Immediate family only: Visits at Union County Jail are restricted to immediate family only.
Only immediate family members are allowed to visit. If you're unsure whether your relationship qualifies, call ahead. You don't want to make the trip only to be turned away at the door.
All visitors are subject to search under Florida State Statute. Expect some level of screening when you arrive. Keep what you bring to a minimum so check-in goes smoothly.
The jail is located at 50 NW 1st Street in Lake Butler, on the north side of the courthouse. First time visiting? Use the courthouse as your landmark to find the right building.
