How Inmates Order Commissary at Upshur County Jail (Phone Ordering Using SO Number & PIN)

Inmates place commissary orders by phone. They'll need their booking number (the "SO number") and a PIN tied to their trust account. The order total gets deducted from whatever's in that account - so they need both the correct credentials and enough funds to cover their selections.

Orders can only go through if there's money in the inmate's trust account. Access Corrections processes deposits daily via ACH, so funds typically post on a regular schedule. That said, the money needs to actually be in the account before an order will succeed.

Families Verify

• ✓ Confirm with the inmate that you have their current SO (booking) number and that they know their PIN used for phone ordering.
• ✓ Keep your deposit confirmation/receipt so you can track what was sent if the inmate says they still can’t place an order.
