Before Your First Duffield Video Visit: What to Wear (and What Not to Wear)

For video visits at VA Southwest / Duffield Regional Jail, show up on camera fully dressed in appropriate, everyday clothing. If you wouldn't wear it to an office or a school, change before your session.

• ✓ Sheer, transparent, net, or mesh clothing
• ✓ Clothing that unduly exposes your stomach, back, shoulders, chest, midriff, or underarms
• ✓ Tight, body-accenting clothing (including items like spandex leggings, tank tops, and bodysuits)
• ✓ Clothing with gang-related, obscene, or distracting messages, shapes, or designs
• ✓ Clothing that resembles security uniforms or inmate clothing

Wearing a dress, skirt, jumper, or culottes? Keep the hemline modest. Duffield doesn't allow anything more than four inches above the knee for video visits.

Leave the shorts at home - they're not allowed for adult visitors. Kids are the exception; minor children may wear shorts. One more thing: if you're doing an onsite video visit when those resume, sessions are limited to two adults and two children.

Bring valid photo ID. Duffield accepts a driver's license (current or expired), military or government ID, passport, school picture ID, Immigration Card (MICA), or any picture ID issued by a city, county, state, or government agency.

• ✓ Don’t wear shorts (minor children are the exception)
• ✓ Have your valid photo ID ready (driver’s license - current or expired - passport, military/government ID, school picture ID, MICA, or other government-issued picture ID)
