How to Send Money to Facility
Sending money for services at a CDCR facility starts with setting up an account with the right provider. Here are the two CDCR account options and what to confirm before adding funds.
Some CDCR facilities use the GTL VisitMe portal. If yours does, look for the "CLAIM ACCOUNT" link to create or claim your visitation account.
If the CDCR facility uses Securus for prepaid video calls, you'll need a Securus account instead. In the Securus app, select AdvanceConnect to set up and fund prepaid video calls.
- Go to the CDCR GTL VisitMe sign-in page. Look for the “CLAIM ACCOUNT” option.
- Select “CLAIM ACCOUNT”. Follow the prompts to create or claim your visitation account.
- Open a Securus account. You can do this through the Securus mobile app.
- Choose AdvanceConnect in the app. This is the area used to set up and add funds for prepaid video calls.
What-to-verify
- ✓ Confirm the facility accepts VisitMe accounts for CDCR visitation scheduling.
- ✓ Ask whether you need to link your VisitMe account to a specific person or CDCR number before it works.
- ✓ Double-check that the “CLAIM ACCOUNT” option is still the correct way to create or claim access for CDCR on the VisitMe portal.
- ✓ Confirm the facility is using Securus for prepaid video calls.
- ✓ Ask whether there are any facility-specific funding limits or setup requirements for AdvanceConnect.
- ✓ Make sure you are following the current Securus guidance in the app for AdvanceConnect and prepaid video calling.
