How to Deposit Money for a Wakulla Inmate: Lobby Kiosk and CommissaryDeposit.com

Wakulla inmates receive funds through the facility's Inmate Deposit System. You can add money two ways: at the kiosk machine in the Sheriff's Office lobby or online through commissarydeposit.com. The kiosk is your in-person option; commissarydeposit.com lets you deposit from anywhere.

Note: Money deposited through CommissaryDeposit is subject to normal collections for debts owed by the inmate, so the full amount you send may not be available to spend.

For in-person deposits, head to the kiosk machine in the Sheriff's Office lobby. The Wakulla County Sheriff's Office is located at 15 Oak St, Crawfordville, FL 32327.

  • Check the kiosk for the current payment options and any instructions it displays before you start.
  • Don’t bring cash, money orders, or personal checks for an inmate deposit - those aren’t accepted.
  • If you’re trying to use a check, know that the facility only accepts a check if it’s from another detention facility or law enforcement agency.

Commissarydeposit Steps

  • State where the inmate is located
  • Facility where the inmate is located
  • Inmate’s ID number or full name

To deposit online, go to commissarydeposit.com. You'll need a credit or debit card, so have it ready before you start.

Reminder: Deposits made through CommissaryDeposit may be used to satisfy debts owed by the inmate through normal collections.

  1. Open commissarydeposit.com - start a new deposit through the online payment portal.
  2. Choose the inmate’s state and facility - the system needs both to route the deposit correctly.
  3. Enter the inmate’s ID or name - use the exact information you have for the inmate.
  4. Pay with a credit or debit card - follow the prompts to enter your card details and submit the deposit.

Money you add goes into the inmate's trust account through the Inmate Deposit System. Deposits made through CommissaryDeposit are subject to normal collections for debts the inmate owes, which can reduce how much is actually available after the deposit processes.

Wakulla charges a booking fee and a daily sustenance fee to everyone booked into the facility. If the inmate doesn't have funds at booking, those fees - along with other applicable charges - can be deducted from money sent during their incarceration.

What to expect: If there are outstanding debts or fees, a deposit can be reduced by collections and deductions - even if you just sent the money.

Practical Verification

  • Confirm you have the inmate’s correct name or ID before you submit an online deposit.
  • Make sure you select the correct state and facility in the online portal.
  • If you’re depositing in person, go to the Sheriff’s Office at 15 Oak St, Crawfordville, FL 32327 and use the kiosk in the lobby.
