What Washington County Correctional No Longer Accepts by Mail (Books, Photos, Clothing)

Washington County Correctional has cut off three categories of mailed items on specific dates. Photographs stopped being accepted effective 4/23/2019. Personal clothing sent through the mail (T-shirts, socks, bras, underwear, and similar items) stopped being accepted effective 1/15/2021. Reading material, including books and magazines, stopped being accepted as of 3/12/2021.

Washington County Correctional stopped accepting photographs by mail as of 4/23/2019. To send pictures now, you need to use an approved digital service. The facility lists GettingOut.com and TextBehind.com as options. Printed photos mailed in an envelope will not be accepted under the current policy.

Washington County Correctional stopped accepting personal clothing through the mail as of 1/15/2021. This includes T-shirts, socks, bras, underwear, and similar items. If you want to help your loved one get clothing, use the facility's approved purchasing options instead of mailing a package.

Items mailed after the cutoff dates will be rejected. Reading material postmarked after Friday March 12, 2021, for example, gets returned to the sender.
