What You Can't Bring to Washington County Correctional (Checklist and Consequences)

Visiting Washington County Correctional? Plan to bring as little as possible. Nothing goes into the facility with you. Lockers are available to secure your personal items. Check the list below so you don't get delayed at check-in or turned away.

• ✓ Weapons, tools, or anything that could be used as a weapon or tool
• ✓ Food or beverages
• ✓ Tobacco products and associated devices (this policy applies on the facility grounds, adjoining buildings and grounds, and inside)
• ✓ Hats or any type of head covering

Nothing may be taken into Washington County Correctional. Lockers are provided so you can secure your belongings before entering. Outer garments count as items that must be stored. Jackets, coats, and other outerwear go in a locker. If your coat won't fit, you'll need to return it to your vehicle before you can enter.

Head coverings are not allowed at Washington County Correctional. You cannot wear a hat or cover your head while inside. You also cannot have a hat or any type of head covering in your possession during your visit.

Expect screening when you arrive. All visitors and their belongings are subject to search at any time. You'll need to pass through the metal detector without setting it off. If you can't clear the metal detector, you won't be admitted, or you may be required to complete a clothed search before entering.

Washington County Correctional enforces these rules strictly. Violations mean you'll be required to leave the facility and surrounding grounds, and you won't be permitted to return. That can mean losing future visitation privileges. Double-check your pockets and leave prohibited items at home or locked in your vehicle before heading in.
