When Washington County Correctional Is Closed (Lobby Hours, Property Release & Holidays)

Planning to visit Washington County Correctional in person? The lobby is open to the public from 08:30 to 20:00. When you arrive, you'll need to use the intercom in the vestibule to request access. Budget an extra minute for that step before you expect to be helped at the window.

Professional visits follow a weekday-only schedule: Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 11:00 and 13:00 to 16:30. Outside those windows, professional visits won't be processed. The facility is closed on weekends and all County holidays. If you're traveling from out of town or trying to fit an errand around a long weekend, plan for weekday business hours only.

1. Plan to go in person (and go yourself) because you must be present to check on a property release.
2. Arrive during the property-release windows: Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 11:00 and 13:00 to 16:00.
3. Avoid holidays entirely since property is not released on holidays.

Check the County holiday schedule before you travel. Washington County Correctional closes on all County holidays, and that affects in-person services the same way a weekend closure would.
